Layering is an effective way to stay warm and dry. Each layer has a specific function, and combining them maximizes the performance of each individual layer.
1st layer: underwear for dryness
2nd layer: insulation for warmth
3rd layer: outer shell for protection
The 2.5 ply shell is a 3rd layer – outer shell for protection.
2.5 ply means 2.5 fabrics fused together:
1st ply is the outer fabric, waterproofed to keep you dry. It has been treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish in order to ensure protection of up to 10 000mm of rainfall.
2nd ply is the PU membrane that guarantees 10 000 g/m2/24hrs breathability, meaning that as you perspire, water beads can move from your body to the outer part of your jacket, to join the rain or snow water beads that are already being guarded off.
0.5 ply is the fabric’s print, which protects the membrane and acts as lining.
This jacket is also fully seam-sealed, which means that no water will filter through any seams. It is your best shield against rain, wind or snow. Put it on, we dare you!

Machine wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Wash separately and make sure to close all zippers and Velcro tabs. Do not soak, use bleach or fabric softeners. Rinse twice. Hang to dry. Do not allow damp or wet garment to dry crumpled. Tumble dry at low heat for a short time (5-10 minutes) in order to reactivate DWR surface that restore the water-repellency. Iron at low temperature.
